redeeming culture,
one family at a time

Peter and Comfort

Five of the children from Mother Blessings have entered into the covenant of marriage. In March 2021, we witnessed Peter, a child from the home, marry Comfort, a girl from the community. Their child, Sophina, now has a stable home with loving parents. Check out their video and pictures (below)!

Davidline and Momo

Davidline and Momo both grew up as children at the Mother Blessings home. Davidline was in our first resettlement group and has since started businesses, purchased multiple pieces of land, and built a house. Momo has assisted with those processes and is nearing graduation and resettlement himself. These two care not only for their own children, but also for some of the children on our sponsorship. They finally got married in December 2023. Check out their video and photos!

Where change takes root.

We believe that strong families shatter the cycle of poverty. This is grounded both in research data and Scripture. But in Liberia, the cost of a wedding is a huge cultural barrier to marriage. For that reason, we encourage our children to find spouses and our sponsorship helps to pay for their weddings.
